The black mud found in the Dead Sea contains 26 minerals and has a deep cleansing effect. It absorbs oils and dirt, relieves pain in muscles and joints and soothes and refreshes the skin. Mud applied to (parts of) the body reduces stress and slows the aging process of the skin. The immune system is strengthened and therefore the resistance improves. The moisture-absorbing effect of the minerals improves digestion, detoxifies and restores the moisture balance of the skin cells, making them firmer. Mud has a beneficial effect on the blood circulation and improves metabolism. In case of rheumatic diseases and skin diseases, mud packs can provide relief. The heat-retaining properties of mud make it possible to apply it to the painful places for longer periods of time to treat inflamed or rheumatic joints. Even with sports injuries and muscle pain it very effective as heat pack.
How to use : Before bathing or showering, apply a generous amount to the entire body (possibly heated in the microwave for 1 minute), except the face. Allow the mud to dry, but leave it on the skin for no longer than 20 minutes. Rinse well with water.
Then moisturize the skin with a body cream.
In case of arthritis, gout, sprains, bursitis (bursitis joints), eczema or psoriasis on knees and elbows: heat the mud for 1 minute in the microwave, apply it to the painful area and cover it with a plastic wrap. Wrap a warm towel over this and let it work for 15-20 minutes.
