Oily Skin - Characteristics and Care
Oily skin produces too much sebum. This skin type is usually genetically determined, but can also be the result of internal factors (hormonal changes) and external factors (warm, humid climates, the use of cleansing products that are too aggressive or not adapted to the skin type). This leads to:
- an overproduction of sebum, which causes the skin to shine, especially in the T-zone
- coarse pores
- impurities (blackheads, pimples, local irritations)
- a dull complexion
Cleansing: Proper cleansing is extremely important for oily skin. This removes excess sebum and dirt from the skin, making the pores less clogged. It is essential to use a cleansing product that preserves the skin's natural layer of fat so that the sebaceous glands are not additionally stimulated. The Mud Soap and Face Peeling with Dead Sea Mud are very suitable as a cleansing for oily skin.
Serum: From the age of 25 you can use a serum of your choice under your face cream. Always leave the serum on for at least 1 minute before applying the face cream.
Day, night and eye cream: Oil-free Face Cream 24H
Face mask: Use a face mask 1-2 times a week for deep cleansing: Mud Mask, Multi-active Charcoal Detox Peel-off Mask.
- Clean the skin with the Facial Peeling with Dead Sea Mud.
- Apply the mask according to the suggested usage.
- Pat the skin with the Facial Tonic.
- Apply the Oil-free Face Cream.
- Wash with Dead Sea salt: many people have a magnesium deficiency, which also has an effect on the skin. By washing with Dead Sea salt you regularly and evenly give the skin minerals, which improves the condition of the skin and health in general.
- Don't shower too hot, because hot water stimulates the sebaceous glands.
- Eat fresh and diverse and make sure you get enough vitamins B2 and B5 (eg via yeast, wheat oil, beans and nuts).
- Drink enough water to dispose of waste.
- Do not smoke.
- Make sure you get adequate exercise and sleep.
