Psoriasis is a genetic and chronic skin disease characterised by very dry, red, swollen areas on the skin surface, usually on the elbows, knees and scalp. This type of skin requires a profound hydration and soothing care.
1 Psor Soap
This soap is hypo-allergenic and has an optimal PH value. It hydrates dry skin, soothes redness and itching and effectively treats skin problems.
The soap is enriched with Dead Sea minerals, benzoin - a vanilla scented resin that soothes irritations -, olive oil, Dead Sea mud, aloe vera extract, chamomile, bergamot, geranium and tea tree oil. It also contains lavender and calendula oil which have an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulate wound healing.
Also recommended for eczema.
Suggested use: to increase absorption through the skin, lavishly wash the body, leave for two minutes and rinse well. Result is guaranteed after regular use.
2 Dead Sea Salt
Dissolve 250 g of salt in 750 ml of water. Put this in a plastic bottle and place it in the bathroom. In this way you create a salt water lotion with the same concentration as that of the Dead Sea.
After showering with the Psor Soap, turn off the shower and gently wash for 3 to 5 minutes with a washcloth with the Dead Sea lotion. Then rinse if necessary. The longer the salty water stays on the skin, the better. The more often you dry the skin with the lotion during the day, the better.
A liter of Dead Sea lotion is on average sufficient for 10-12 washes of an adult. With a pot of salt (1.2 kg) you make a small 5 liter Dead Sea lotion. Shelf life is infinite.
After washing/contact with the Dead Sea lotion the salt will burn on the skin causing the itching to decrease. In this way the skin is disinfected. This is a normal, temporary response.
To limit the burning and sticky feeling for children, we recommend the following concentrations of salt:
Children up to 3 years of age: Dissolve the above salty water in the bath water.
For children from 3 years of age: dissolve 100 g of salt in 900 ml of water.
3 Mud Shampoo
A special shampoo with effective ingredients for removing grease and dirt from the scalp; Dead Sea mud, sea buckthorn oil, egg yolk, aloe vera extract, rosemary, jojoba oil, vitamin E, provitamins B 5 and B 6 and magnesium.
The mud contains manganese, a mineral that stimulates blood circulation in the capillaries and thus strengthens hair growth, reduces hair loss and prevents dandruff.
Recommended for people with sensitive scalp. Also for people with psoriasis or eczema on the head.
Suggested use: Shake well before use. Apply the shampoo in the palm and massage it on hair and scalp for one minute. Rinse well and repeat. Then use a conditioner or hair mask.
4 Pso Skin Relief Cream
This natural Dead Sea cream is enriched with herbal extracts that calm the skin and relieve skin problems. Very effective against irritation, itching, extremely dry skin, redness and flakes.
The cream is free of corticosteroids and tar, ingredients that are often used in ointments prescribed by regular doctors for the treatment of psoriasis. Regular use of corticosteroids may result in thin skin and the use of tar in skin care is related to cancer, although it has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect. It is forbidden by the European Commission.
This cream is enriched with Dead Sea minerals, seaweed and green tea extracts, which are known for their soothing effect on the skin. Avocado oil renews and soothes the skin. The cream also contains olive oil which moisturises the skin. Shea butter is rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants and helps skin cells renew themselves. Aloe vera extract ensures that fluid balance in the skin is maintained. The cream is also enriched with ginseng, patchouli oil, chamomile and vitamins C and E. The combination of these rich ingredients provides a significant improvement in the condition of the skin.
The Pso Skin Relief Cream does not stain and is easily absorbed by the skin.
Suggested use: Apply twice a day after cleansing with the Psor Soap and Dead Sea lotion. Improvement in skin condition can be noticed after a few days; the skin feels relaxed and nourished again.
